Come November, an additional candidate will appear on the ballot for Maryland's U.S. Senate seat.
Neal Simon, has received confirmation from the Maryland State Board of Elections that it has verified 10,000 signatures to complete the state requirement for nomination by petition. Simon will be running as an independent candidate going up against U.S. Senator Ben Cardin, and he says he's eager to bring the country together, and help people in Maryland get ahead.
"Yesterday, we were informed officially that we'll be on the ballot, and I think Marylander's are ready for what other states have; they're two other states that have independent U.S. Senators there's one with an independent U.S. Governor and Maryland is ready for someone to represent them...not represent party leaders,” said Simon.
